Sandra Long, Founder and CEO: After a full career in public service, Ms. Long launched her airport concessions business with a major leasehold in one of the fastest growing markets in the country, Nashville International Airport (BNA). Ms. Long is owner and CEO of SLA Worldwide and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization, its operating principles and financial performance.

John Sanford, Vice President of Human Resources and Retail Operations. A retail veteran of 25 years, John Sanford has held leadership positions in several industry-leading organizations, including Fraport USA and Paradies. He is considered an operations expert and a high-quality trainer of elite teams. Mr. Sanford will be responsible for the realization of SLA’s operating standards, hiring, training and growing a World-class team.

Director of Government & Community Relations

J. Howard Henderson, Senior Advisor and Director of Community and Government Relations: Prior to joining SLA, Mr. Henderson served as Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Baltimore Urban League, where he worked to improve the living and working conditions of African Americans and other underserved communities. Prior to his Urban League appointment, Mr. Henderson was Principal Advisor and Chief of Staff to Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks, Chief Executive Officer of the NAACP.
